Gulmarg is a town, hill station & a popular tourist destination of Kashmir. It is about 50 km away from Srinagar. Gulmarg is known for skiing, lush greenery, Gondola ride which has 2 Phases, Kongdori & Apharwat.

This Video was shot on 25th June 2023, Below are the activities we did on this day.
We started our day with a Gondola Ride at Gulmarg, we had booked our Gondola tickets for Phase 1 & Phase 2 around 20 days in advance. It is believed Gulmarg visit is incomplete without a Gondola ride.

Phase - 1 Gulmarg to Kongdori - Ticket price - Rs 760 per person
Phase - 2 Kongdori to Apharwat - Ticket Price - Rs 960 per person
There are different time slots in which you need to book the tickets, the ride starts at 9:00 am till 1:30 pm.
After reaching Phase - 2 Apharwat we went to see the Frozen lake.
Food is expensive due to unavailability, it is advisable to carry along with you. Weather is unpredictable at phase 2 so carry sufficient winter clothes.
Mahatta Homestay - Then we proceeded towards Srinagar and paid around Rs 5000 double occupancy for stay, for dinner Rs 500 per person, breakfast is part of tariff.
I did this booking through make my trip - I paid 10,250 for 2 rooms without dinner but breakfast was included in the package.
After booking I asked them over the call, if they could cook kashmir food for dinner, that’s how they made the food keeping the request in mind.

Driver - we did this journey with Showkat bhai - he picked us up from Srinagar to Gulmarg.He does only offbeat destinations, since we wanted to spend more time in offbeat so we took his services.
